About us
Our mission to produce sweet treats for all tastes and ages, started back in 1887, when an enterprising citizen of Gorna Oryahovitsa founded a neat sweet house producing Turkish delight, khalva and caramel. In 1927 it grew to a factory called Orbis, and after 1944 until today it becomes a confectionery factory in Gorna Oryahovitsa.
Today we are part of the "Zaharni zavodi” Jsc. - one of the largest industrial complexes in Bulgaria, with activities in several branches: a Sugar factory, an alcohol factory, a repair factory, thermo-electric power plant, and a packaging and confectionery factory.
On the territory of the long-lost factory Orbis today there is the building of the Confectionery factory. Seeking its identity today, the factory found solid grounds namely in the well-forgotten brand of Orbis, which will be supported and launched in the coming years.
Our company, as any other company respecting their consumers, keeps the high quality of its products. We have done this for more than 100 years, generation after generation ... with particular attention to traditions, to some of which we have become authors over time.
We are proud of our “champions” winning their medals in the categories in which they compete – “Lukcheta”, “Caramel muh”, Chaika”, “Etar”, “Limonovi rezanki” ...
